LUMSA – Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta – is a private Catholic university, founded in 1939, which provides its students with the knowledge relevant to specific degree courses, with a particular focus on development, showing students what they can be and can do.

This outlook defines the University; our key goal is the integration of graduates into society and the workforce, which we are able to promote with the specific services we offer, using our local and international connections, both in teaching and the world of business. The qualifications issued by the University have the same legal value as those achieved in state universities.

Today, LUMSA is located in Rome, Palermo and Taranto, Italy. It offers several first-level degrees (three years) and second-level degrees (two years), post-lauream courses like 1st level and 2nd level Master – one-year diploma similar to a postgraduate diploma –, specialisation schools and doctorate courses (PhD) about law, social sciences, economy, languages, education, communication, marketing, journalism and psychology.
