Introduzione al Corso
The course is part of the Erasmus+ project "Self-In". The project is coordinated by IVASS (Valencian Institute of Social Services) The La.R.I.O.S. (Laboratory of Research and Intervention for Career and Vocational Guidance) and the Ubuntu Group are partners of this international project. The Self-In Project aims to increase the social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through the initiation of self-management programmes. Specifically, it aims to increase the levels of self-determination and independence of people with intellectual disabilities, through the sharing of materials and tools. For this purpose, a training course involving educators and practitioners working with people with disabilities was developed.
The training course will purpose a series of reflective activities to promote the identification of the main elements related to social inclusion and independence. In addition, awareness of the beliefs that can promote or limit the self-management and quality of life of people with disabilities will be promoted. Finally, some strategies for implementing self-management programmes are presented through practical examples and exercises.
