Anyone in the world
The first Italian conference on Learning Analytics, held at the Sapienza University of Rome, ended a few hours ago.
The event, proposed by the scientific societies SIe-L (Italian Society of e-Learning) and SIRD (Italian Society of Educational Research) was aimed at establishing an interdisciplinary network of scholars and institutions interested in developing significant investigations and experiences in this new and promising field of study.

Why do we talk about this conference in EduOpen's blog?
Because numerous researches presented in the last two days involve our platform: EduOpen is one of the more relevant Italian experiences in which data are collected, analyzed and used for training. The contributions of EduOpen Team regarding completion rates and delivery mode of courses, users profile, dashboards for teachers and students, laws on data management captured the curiosity and the interest of the participants.
The challenge of this research field is the matching between humanistic and scientific culture, between social sciences and exact sciences. The possibility to choose the most suitable languages and methodologies and to collaborate within scientific communities in comparison with international research is in our hands.
