Michele Fratianni is Professor Emeritus at the Kelley School of Business of Indiana Unversity (Bloomington, Indiana) and Professor of International Finance at the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy). He has held concurrent positions at the Catholic University of Louvain, Marquette University, Free University of Berlin and visiting positions at the Catholic University of Milan and the University of Rome La Sapienza. He was Senior Staff Economist with the U.S. Council of Economic Advisers in 1981-1982 and Economic Adviser with the Commission of the European Communities in 1976-1979 He founded the Open Economies Review and later co-founded the Italian Economic Journal.
