Numerical sequences and discrete models
About the Course
The course presents the basic theory and the applications of the numerical sequences.It is addressed to first year students of scientific, economics and engineering degrees.
In the first part, after a theoretical introduction, the main theorems on sequences and examples of
limit computations will be presented.
The second part will focus on discrete dynamical systems, namely on recurrence sequences used as a tools for mathematical modelling of reality.
Examples of discrete dynamical systems will be shown and their asymptotic behaviour, including bifurcations and Chaos, will be studied by graphical methods and numerical simulations.

- costruire semplici modelli discreti di problemi
reali;
- studiare analiticamente il comportamento
asintotico di un sistema dinamico discreto;
- rappresentare graficamente e numericamente l’andamento
di un sistema dinamico discreto.

Il corso – di tipo Base – è rivolto a studenti del primo anno, iscritti a un corso di laurea di tipo tecnico, economico o scientifico.Non occorrono prerequisiti.
