Introduzione al sistema giuridico italiano


The aim of the course is to provide students with some essential elements for understanding the Italian legal system. 
Specifically, the subject of the course will be the study of the Italian Constitution, the structure of Italian Criminal and Civil Codes, as well as some theoretical investigations in criminal and constitutional matters.

Learning Outcomes: recognize the fundamental principles of the Italian; constitution Use Italian Civil and Criminal Law; recognize the basic structure of a crime.
The course is intended for students, scholars or workers who are interested in the topics of the course. No prior knowledge is required as regards Italian Law.
Among the monographs, the following are recommended: A. Di Amato, Criminal law in Italy, Cedam, 2015; Aa.Vv., The Italian legal system, London, 1985. Among the other documents: Constitution of the italian Republic Baschiera, Introduction to the Italian Legal System. Allocation of Normative Powers: Issues In Law Finding
The teaching approach will be based on video-lessons without intermediate tests of any kind. It includes five macro-topics, which are in turn divided into several sub-sectors that are explained through individual video lessons.
