He is a full professor of the discipline MAT/03 - GEOMETRY. He began activities at the University of Modena-Reggio Emilia in the academic year 2001/2002, at the School of Communication and Business, where he has been offering every year untill 2009/10 the course “Mathematics”. At this School he also lectured on Financial Mathematics, Quantitative Methods, Dynamics and Control of Complex Systems. From time to time he has been offering some of these courses in on-line mode through the remote teaching platform of the School (FAD - Formazione A Distanza). Since May 2010 he is based at the School of Natural Sciences, where he offered the following courses: Algebra B (academic year 2008/09); Discrete Mathematics (a.y. 2009/10); Geometry A (a.y. 2010/11); Linear Algebra (a.y. 2010/11); Finite Geometry (a.y. 2010/11, 2011/12); Geometry B (a.y. 2011/12). He previously worked at the Technical University of Munich (1983-84), at the University of Florence (1985-87), at the University of Basilicata (Potenza, Italy) as a research fellow at the School of Natural Sciences (1988-92) and as an associate professor at the School of Engineering (1993-2001).
